C’est Ensemble (Together, We Can) has been chosen as the theme for the 2008 Haiti Connection Conference from November 12-14 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Ophelia Dahl, Executive Director of Partners in Health, will be the keynote speaker for the opening dinner on Wednesday evening. Full-day sessions follow on Thursday and Friday focusing on education, development and health care. All sessions will be held at the Montana Hotel in Petion Ville, Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Pre-conference trips are also scheduled for the South (two days), the North (two-days) and Port-au-Prince (one day) which take small groups to visit mission projects in the region. The Rt. Rev. Jean Zache Duracin, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti, will attend as will the diocesan clergy and lay leaders of the diocese. While the primary focus will be on the mission and ministry of Episcopal and Presbyterian outreach efforts, any person and all ministries engaged in ministry in Haiti are welcome to attend.
